Recently, DB Schenker was busy on two fronts at the regatta “EFG Sailing Arabia – The Tour 2018”: with its own boat and also as logistics service provider. The competition took place off the coast of the Sultanate of Oman in the far southeast of the Arabian Peninsula. Over the course of two weeks, a top-class international fleet of eight Diam 24 race yachts tested themselves and their trimarans over a total of ten stages. The boat bearing the DB Schenker logo on its mainsail was crewed by an all-female team.

The yacht was skippered by the Swiss sailor, Elodie-Jane Mettraux, who had just returned from competing in the prestigious “Volvo Ocean Race.” As the regatta schedule did not include any long-distance races, the boats repeatedly had to be transported from one venue to the next over distances of 200 and more kilometers. That responsibility was entrusted to DB Schenker in its role as logistics service provider.
