In China, DB Schenker works very closely with Prada. Just recently the logistics provider successfully completed a rather special order on behalf of the Italian luxury fashion house: the setting up of two stylish pop-up stores in shopping malls in Shanghai and in the metropolis of Xi’an, deep inside the country. The heart of each of the 100-square-meter superstructures was a replica of a shiny silver railroad car. Dismantled into their individual parts, the pop-up stores were transported by truck to their destinations and set up by the DB Schenker teams. In each case the operation took five night shifts to complete. Once the campaign was over, the teams also ensured the smooth dismantling and removal of the stores. DB Schenker has been the exclusive logistics provider for Prada in China for some years already – see this story for background information.
