Finding first-rate staff more quickly and more efficiently – the innovative recruiting platform “NearMe”
is intended to do just that

With the new “DB Schenker NearMe” online portal, the logistics service provider plans to locate outstanding staff – especially for project-specific or part-time positions – even more quickly in the future. The solution, which the company is currently trialing in a first for the global logistics industry, automatically generates notifications about flexible job vacancies and updates them on a daily basis. Registered users, whether returning employees or new recruits, can enter information about their qualifications as well as their preferred working hours – and they are then shown matching job opportunities.
Developed jointly with the US software company “PlatformOS” the solution is currently being trialed at two locations in the United States. “The ‘DB Schenker NearMe’ platform helps us attract and retain qualified staff by offering flexible shift models. This way, we can optimize our recruiting and shift planning processes, increase our resource efficiency and offer a better service quality,” said Thomas Schulz, Global Chief Human Resources Officer at Schenker AG.
