The non-profit organization LEAD Network intends to strengthen the role of women in the consumer products and retail industry – for example, at the annual LEAD Network Event, Europe’s flagship diversity experience. During the event’s 2019 edition in Madrid, the “European Supply Chain Conference” will be held for the first time, on November 18. The predominantly female speakers and participants in the numerous panel discussions and workshops come from high-caliber enterprises like Tchibo, P&G and Unilever.

The focal theme of the “European Supply Chain Conference” will be digitization. What are the implications of digitization and technological development for supply chains? How have the industry key players faced these challenges and what opportunities do they see? Will the cultural shift bring about a step change in favor of gender balance? These and other questions will be discussed during the event.
DB Schenker has been a prime mover in organizing the event – represented by Julia Edler-Pain, Senior Business Development Manager for the logistics service provider, and also the chairwoman of the LEAD NETWORK Supply Chain Chapter.
