In e-commerce, marketplaces have clearly overtaken conventional web stores in terms of turnover. DB Schenker is keeping up with this development – with a new strategic partnership involving ChannelAdvisor. The U.S.-based company is a leading provider of cloud-based e-commerce solutions that enable brands and retailers to increase global sales.
The alliance will provide customers with “comprehensive access to key marketplaces such as Amazon and eBay on a global level,” said Vanessa Holl, DB Schenker’s Vice President Global e-commerce Vector Market. Overall, the solution establishes a connection to over one hundred marketplaces supported by ChannelAdvisor.
The strategic partnership will also generate benefits the other way round: “For most brands and retailers, lack of a global logistics and fulfillment solution is a key factor inhibiting global expansion,” said Håkan Thyr, director of strategic partnerships in Europe and Middle East (EMEA) at ChannelAdvisor. “Our alliance with DB Schenker will give our customers access to a leading and global solution to counteract that challenge.”
