Brose, an international automotive supplier, has designated DB Schenker as its “Key Supplier 2017.” Every year, the family-owned company, which employs more than 25,000 people at 60 locations in 23 countries, recognises the most important of its more than 4,000 suppliers in total. Schenker Deutschland AG has been organizing and managing procurement logistics on behalf of Brose for many years. These tasks include coordinating, controlling and handling material flows in transports by road, sea and via airfreight. The main operational center is the “Brose Traffic Desk.”

DB Schenker handles an average of around 250 individual orders for Brose every day. This is in addition to several thousand standard containers of ocean freight each year as well as project-specific airfreight services. Brose produces mechatronic components and systems for vehicle seats, doors and electric drives. According to the manufacturer, every second new vehicle worldwide is currently fitted with at least one Brose product.
