In Romania, DB Schenker now has a new and unusual brand ambassador: the top-class handball player Cristina Neagu. The only three-time winner of the “World Player of the Year” award can now be seen, among others, in a large-scale photograph on the company trucks. “Cristina Neagu’s achievements reflect the values of DB Schenker,” said Albin Budinsky, the company’s CEO in the east European country. “Her performance in sports as well as the performance of our company in the transportation and logistics industry continue to follow the same trend towards success.”
“I am happy to be the ambassador of one of the most important logistics companies. I met wonderful people who know what teamwork means and who want to do things better every day, being aware that life is a continuous learning process,” said the 30-year-old, who has been part of Romania’s national team for more than ten years – and who is considered an exceptional sports personality and a role model for young sportspeople even outside the handball community. DB Schenker – represented in Romania with four branches, over 60 offices and more than 1,100 employees – now intends to also sponsor projects focusing on sports and education as part of this new partnership.
