Top athletes take it to the limit – like Switzerland’s Anouk Vergé-Dépré during the 2019 Beach Volleyball World Championships. A total of 96 teams of women and men provided a terrific show for the spectators at the stadium in Hamburg and those watching the event on television around the world. But it was not just the athletes who took it to the limit – DB Schenker also made an all-out effort: as the official supporter in logistics appointed by the event organizers, the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB).
The specialists from DB SCHENKERsportsevents made sure that the match balls, the court equipment such as the nets and jury stands as well as the scoring equipment were all in place and ready on time. And they took extra care in handling a very special piece of freight, namely the winner’s trophy. DB Schenker, on behalf of the FIVB, has already been in charge of the planning, organization, coordination and execution of logistic services for volleyball and beach volleyball events the world over since 2014.
