The new member for Freight Transport & Logistics at Deutsche Bahn AG has taken his seat on the board. Beginning on April 1, Alexander Doll has been overseeing the DB Schenker and DB Cargo business units, which were combined in 2017. The Supervisory Board of Deutsche Bahn AG had appointed the 48-year-old to the board last November. Most recently, Doll worked at Barclays Bank PLC, where he served as CEO for Germany from 2013.

Alexander Doll studied Business Administration in Frankfurt and in 1998 also completed an MBA at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School in Atlanta. Over the course of the last two decades he has held leading positions at banks in New York, London and Frankfurt.

During this time, Alexander Doll was responsible for numerous domestic and international transactions in the transport and logistics sector and acquired extensive knowledge of the industry. He also advised the Deutsche Bahn AG on multiple projects and assisted other leading international companies from the industry. As a result, he is very familiar with the current trends and challenges facing the transport and logistics sector.
